Bellafill

Bellafill is an ideal treatment for anyone who loves the results they get from dermal fillers, but wishes they lasted longer.  Unlike other fillers that last on average 12 months, Bellafill can last for up to 5 years.

Bellafill contains a special formulation of bovine collagen and polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) microspheres.  PMMA is a biocompatible synthetic material that has a long history of use in medicine and dentistry. Unlike other types of dermal fillers, PMMA is not broken down and absorbed by the body over time. The PMMA component acts like scaffolding beneath the skin, providing structure where it is lacking.  When Bellafill is first injected, it provides immediate fullness in the area thanks to the PMMA microspheres and collagen.  As the bovine collagen is gradually absorbed, the body simultaneously generates new collagen in response to the presence of the PMMA.  It is this dual mode of action that gives Bellafill its long-lasting properties.

Bellafill requires a simple skin test 2-4 weeks prior to your treatment to ensure you are not allergic to the bovine collagen contained in Bellafill.  Most patients require 2-3 treatment sessions, spaced 3-6 weeks apart to achieve optimal results.  The results will continue to improve over the coming months as your body creates new collagen in the treatment area.  With Bellafill, you can expect immediate and long term results.
