NovaThreads dissolve in approximately 6 months, but the results will linger due to the collagen production.  A second treatment is recommended 6-9 months after the first treatment to allow for even longer lasting results.  Our #1 priority is to make our patients comfortable, so we use a local anesthetic with this procedure. There is slight swelling and minimal discomfort for up to 7 days following the treatment.
